What is Movo? +
Movo is a single app for everything money-related across Africa: send money to friends and family, pay bills, buy airtime and data, and book flights — all from one wallet.
Is it really free to send money across Africa? +
Yes. Transfers between Movo users across Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, and South Africa carry zero fees. You only pay the exact amount you send — no hidden charges, no markup on the exchange rate.
Which countries does Movo support? +
Movo currently supports Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, and South Africa. More African markets are being added — sign up to be notified when we launch in yours.
How do I fund my Movo wallet? +
Fund your wallet with a bank transfer, a debit card, or by receiving money from another Movo user. Your balance is available immediately.
Is Movo safe? +
Yes. Movo uses bank-grade encryption, biometric login, and partners with licensed financial institutions. Your money is held with regulated custodians — never in Movo's own accounts.
How does the Movo card work? +
The Movo card is a virtual and physical card linked directly to your Movo wallet. Pay for anything online or in-store and get 10% off every transaction as a launch reward.
Can I book flights with Movo? +
Yes. Search and book flights to over 300 airlines across Africa and beyond, all paid in Naira from your Movo wallet. Your e-ticket arrives by email within minutes.
What happens if my transfer fails? +
If a transfer doesn't go through, your money is returned to your Movo wallet automatically — usually within minutes. If it takes longer, contact support and we'll sort it out.
Do I need to pay to sign up? +
No. Creating a Movo account is completely free. You only pay when you choose to use a service — and for transfers within Africa, there's nothing to pay at all.
